About The Trainer

Akshatha Pai had the privilege of getting trained under the best gurus when she was just 5 years old. They continue to inspire her as she scales new heights in the traditional Indian dance form of Bharatanatyam.
She had the basic lessons of Bharatanatyam from Guruji Manikannan for three years and then from Guruji Natya Visharada Smt Sheela Shridhar in Kalakshetra style, which is well known for its precise and well-defined movements.

She later had the privilege to learn the Mysore and Tanjavur style of Bharatanatyam from Dr Vidushi Chetana Radhakrishna PM (GuruDev Dance Academy ). She completed her senior exam from Karnataka board under Smt Chetana's able guidance.
She has performed in a lot of shows across north and south India and got medals and acclaim for the same.
After Marriage , with Mr Alok Pai, who inspired her to rediscover her passion and love for dance, she opened the dance academy "Nritya Gurukul" after completing a Govt Certified course in Performing Arts from IGNOU Delhi. She also trains young dancers in a recognized Pvt school in Noida.

Presently she is doing her Visharad in Bharatanatyam from ABGMV Mumbai under the guidance of Smt Rashmi Raut Jaiswal ( MA, Bharatanatyam) In Delhi. She is also well trained in folk and semi-classical Indian dances.

Nritya Gurukul started with just 2 students in 2014 and has grown to a present strength of 13 students with 2 batches . We have a dedicated floor in Kendriya Vihar,Sec-82,Noida so that students can learn and train freely without disturbance. Our students have performed in several dance competitions across Delhi NCR, winning prizes and accolades.
Akshatha would like to show her respect and gratitude to her teachers. Without them Nritya Gurukul would not be possible. May the blessings of Lord Nataraj always be upon the institute and its students.Jai Hind.
